Having prevailed against obstacles such as incarceration, homelessness, and addiction, these overcomers have started careers as commercial truck drivers, certified nursing assistants, phlebotomists, clinical medical assistants, electricians, information technology specialists, and office administrators. Graduates are now working at area employers such as Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Ascension St. Thomas, Centennial Hospital, Skyline Hospital, Werner Trucking, Stansell Electric, H&R Block, and Universal Logistics.
