About this study

Class Name: The Gospel According to Abraham

Class Description: The Bible presents Abraham as a supreme model of faith. While his life was principally guided by his faith in God’s promises, it also featured some stark failures of faith as he sought to bring about God’s promises on his own. In studying his life, we find ourselves not so different from Abraham. He was called to place his faith in what God would do; we are called to place our faith in what Jesus has done. What do we do when the promises of God seem impossible and our faith fails? In this study on the life of Abraham, we will learn to rest in God who keeps his covenant through what Jesus accomplished for us on the cross.

Class Name: The Gospel for Everyday Life

Class Description: Each of us has personal and interpersonal struggles. Jesus knows those struggles, cares about strugglers, and enters into those struggles with us. Each week, we will build a bridge from the gospel into the various issues we face in our daily lives. Learning how the gospel invites us to address issues such as anxiety, doubt, grief, fear, contentment, or anger, we will see how Jesus brings about significant change through our most vulnerable situations and our everyday lives.

Teacher: Greg Davis
