About this study

Current: DISCIPLESHIP EXPLORED

Class Description:
Discipleship Explored goes beyond simply teaching the right moves – go to church, pray, read the Bible, share the gospel – and focuses on the power which drives discipleship: the love of Christ. The greatest love anyone can ever know.

Teacher: Stephen Simmons

Room: 346, 351, 353

Time: 10:30 a.m.

Starts: Feb. 5

Current: FINAL WEEK OF JESUS

Class Description:
On March 29 AD 33, Jesus entered the city of Jerusalem and boldly predicted that he would soon be executed on a cross, like a common criminal. Join us as we reexamine His last days and reflect on the earth-shaking significance of His arrest, trial, crucifixion & empty tomb.

Teacher: Greg Davis

Room: 348

Time: 10:30 a.m.

Starts: Mar. 19

Upcoming: DISCOVERY

Class Description:
If you want to become a member, or learn more about West End generally, Discovery is the next step.

Teacher: Laura Stacy

Room: 348

Time: 10:30 a.m.

Starts: April 16

Upcoming: KNOWING JESUS THROUGH THE OLD TESTAMENT

Class Description:
We cannot know Jesus without knowing his story. And that story is found in the story of his people, Israel, in the Old Testament. The man Jesus is the promise and fulfillment of the Old Testament story, but he is also a product of it. The history of his people is part of his story, just as our family histories are part of ours. In six sessions, we will see Jesus through the lens of the Old Testament – enriching our understanding of his identity and mission. And as those united to him through faith, we’ll see that his Old Testament story is ours as well.

Teacher: Stephen Simmons

Location: 3rd Floor

Time: 10:30 a.m.

Starts: April 16

Upcoming: IN THE BEGINNING

Class Description:
The opening chapters of Genesis are not an ancient myth to be discarded. Rather, they reveal to us the God of the universe who created all things out of nothing. They tell us who we are and what we were made for, and what our place is in creation – that we are image bearers of God who reflect his glory. They also make sense of the brokenness of the created order that we experience daily, and the work that God began to redeem all things through Christ.

Teacher: Scott Sims

Location: 3rd Floor

Time: 10:30 a.m.

Starts: April 16
