Dear Church Family,

As West End continues to grow I’m delighted to announce two significant additions to our leadership team.

On October 3 Chan Kilgore will join our staff to lead us in the areas of equipping and outreach. Chan will focus on helping our congregation walk more deeply with Jesus and share the hope of the gospel with our neighbors and beyond.

Chan is joining us from Spanish River Church in Boca Raton where he is Pastor of Church Planting. Prior to this, Chan served 18 years as the founder and senior pastor of CrossPointe Church in Orlando, a plant of Spanish River. CrossPointe planted eight churches under Chan’s leadership. A graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary, Chan enjoys teaching seminary and leading seminars on church planting and discipleship. Chan and his wife Stacy have three adult daughters.

Additionally, in January, John Bourgeois will join us with a focus on teaching and leadership development. John will develop our Sunday Morning Classes and other teaching ministries to serve West End and the city. Both John and Chan will share some preaching responsibilities with me.

In his sixth year leading Wake Forest University’s RUF, John pastors hundreds of students every semester. He enjoys the challenge of creatively engaging hearts in a post-Christian, post-truth culture. Also a graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary, John pastored at City Church in Richmond, led RUF at Virginia Commonwealth University and often preaches at Redeemer Church in Winston-Salem. John and his wife Mary Clarke are busy with three young children.

Please join me in welcoming these gifted pastors. With over 80 people a day moving to Nashville, each brings heart, experience and talent that will significantly increase our impact on this city for the Glory of God!

Blessings,

Carter Crenshaw
Senior Pastor
