Women’s Ministry

Looking for a place to flourish and grow? West End is home to a multi-generational community of women.

About this ministry

At West End, we believe relationships are the most important thing in life—our relationship with God, our families, friends, neighbors, and our city—and we want to see them grow and flourish. Our heart’s desire is to cultivate a place where women can be vulnerable, honest, and thrive.

Through special events, book discussions, Bible studies, service to Nashville, or coffee with friends, we hope to create a space where women are empowered in their life’s walk—no matter their background, age, or perspective.

Are you ready to be seen, known, and grow in your faith? No matter who you are or what you believe, you are welcome here.

Ministry Questions

We kick off our fall offerings each year with a fun event (which usually includes Bunco!). We share ways for women to get involved and study together.

At Christmas, we host an elegant dinner for the women of our church to come together and celebrate the joys of the season.

Every year, West End offers a women’s retreat (either in-town or out of town) for a long weekend. It’s a time of fellowship, vulnerability and growth.

Through our quarterly Bible studies, we come together for a time of community and encouragement. Over eight weeks, women are divided into smaller groups to discuss either Paige Brown’s study or hear from a series of speakers with the goal of knowing more about the bible and important topics related to our lives.

Paige Brown, a member of West End, leads studies about God by diving into books of the bible and Christian theology. These are eight-week studies that happen twice a year, on Wednesday mornings.

We also offer larger bible studies for the church and community to learn more about Jesus, Christianity and spiritual topics on Wednesdays in seasons where Paige does not teach.

Paige Brown is a member of West End and a gifted teacher. She is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and holds her Masters in Theological Studies from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis. For years, she was on staff at Reformed University Fellowship at Vanderbilt and again at the University of Virginia. She was also a staff teacher at Park Cities Presbyterian Church in Dallas.

After living in Washington, D.C. and New York City, Paige and her husband, Reagan, and their three children relocated to Nashville. She leads groups, mainly women, through bible studies twice a year, and has been a keynote speaker at the Gospel Coalition’s Women’s Conference.

Paige and her family are a great blessing to West End and those interested in learning more about the bible.

Bible studies are chances to dive into books of the Bible, cover topics the Bible speaks into and learn more about Jesus. These large group teachings typically meet for around 6-12 weeks with different studies offered throughout the year.

Discipleship groups are the best way to be establish intimate community with others. These groups of 4-6 women meet weekly for 9 months as they study and grow spiritually. Unlike Bible studies, discipleship groups are closed groups. If you want a close group of sisters who know you and your story, this is the place you’ll find it.

In a way, yes! We offer book studies on different spiritual topics. In the past, we’ve read books like “Ephesians: The Love We Long For” by Scotty Smith, “The Prodigal God” by Tim Keller, “Get Out of Your Head” by Jenny Allen and many others! You can find out when these book discussions are happening by looking under the Connect tab under Studies.

Moms Thrive is an event for moms to come together and better learn how to love their children well. Moms of all backgrounds, perspectives and faiths meet in a home and hear from a speaker, educator, counselor, or other expert on parenting topics.

It’s a great place to get to know other moms from your child’s school, support one another and gain parenting tools.

Groups meet from:

  • Grassland,
  • Scales
  • Percy Priest
  • Glendale
